We were at Øyafestivalen!
Aug 11, 2025

One of the year’s most anticipated event of the year just happened: Øyafestivalen! Sounds Like Gold was present both on stage and off.
Erlend Ropstad took the stage on Saturday at the "Sirkus" stage. Erlend delivered a spectacular live show that granted him 6 stars from Dagsavisen.
On Ropstads set Dagsavisen wrote: "Probably the biggest stylistic shift in Norwegian music ever! The strongest thing, is still the sound he creates". Erlend has been busy this summer playing loads of festivals in Norway with øya being his 9th stop of the summer. This is not Erlend’s first time playing øya, with him playing in 2019 and 2016.
Anna Lille was also present, taking the stage on Wednesday at the «Vindfruen» stage. Along with Ropstad, Anna has been visible across the festivals making Øya her 13th stop of the summer. With a nomination for Breakthrough artist of the year at the Norwegian Grammys (Spellemann) as well as winning an award with the same name at this year’s Norwegian Publishers Awards, she made her talent shine through with a big ambitious performance. The world-renowned Billboard were also impressed by the young singer.
Billboard wrote: "Anna Lille has some soul-baring moments on her 2025 EP how did I let this get so serious?, but she can also deliver the pop delights, as evidence during a spirited run-through of unreleased pop tune "Maniac".
This was Anna’s debut performance at Øyafestivalen, one she can be proud off.
With our artists being present on stage, Sounds Like Gold participated at Øyafestivalens "Øya international"-programme. Being part of this and seeing our artists shine on stage has been a great experience for us here at Sounds Like Gold. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting journey.
